WE OFFER SEVERAL DISTINCTIVE PROGRAMS DURING THE SUMMER:
Each camp includes many additional options and combinations to best meet your needs. Our website offers a glimpse into what a summer at Friends will be like for your child. But the best way for you to get to know us is to visit our campus, tour our facilities, and meet the people who will be caring for your child. We'd love to show you why each year hundreds of children are glad to say, "I spent my summer with Friends."
General Information
Transportation
Air-conditioned bus transportation is provided from the camper's home to Friends Academy and return. Parents should expect a pick-up time between 8:00 and 9:15 a.m., depending upon location. For added convenience and safety, our bus counselors help supervise and help your children get to camp with a smile. Bus drivers stop by each home with more specific information the week before the opening of camp.
Medical Attention
A registered nurses is on campus each day to offer first aid and administer prescription medication (if needed). They are supported by our on-call pediatrician and instructors who hold EMT certification. In addition, many of our counselors and coaches hold American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certification.
Food Program
Campers will enjoy our fabulous lunch program at no additional cost. Our air-conditioned dining service includes daily choice of hot lunch, sandwiches, salad, fresh fruit, and dessert. Food is prepared daily by CulinArt Food Service which services Friends Academy year-round. During lunchtime, milk, water, lemonade, iced tea and gatorade are provided as beverage choices. Fridays are set aside for BBQ's and special themed lunches. Click here to view a sample menu. Throughout the day, over 20 coolers of water and gatorade are placed throughout the campus for use by our sports academy and general camp programs. We offer mid-afternoon snacks for our Junior/Intermediate Campers and all our campers end each day with delicious choices of ice cream and ice pops.
